Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

Description
The term “Abnormal uterine bleeding” (AUB) refers to uterine bleeding that lasts longer than usual or takes place at an erratic period. Bleeding may be frequent or sporadic, heavier or lighter than usual. AUB might manifest as bleeding or spotting in between periods. following sexual activity.
Uterine fibroids, uterine adenomyosis, or endometrial polyps are the most typical causes of such bleeding. Adenomyosis is a disorder in which the lining of the uterus (endometrium) extends into the myometrium, whereas fibroids are benign tumours in the muscular layer of the uterus (myometrium).
Treatments
Your course of action will depend on the nature of the bleeding. To control your bleeding or address the underlying cause, there are both medical and surgical options available.
Medications
By delaying ovulation, gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists can momentarily stop or lessen bleeding.
Surgery
Treatment options for irregular uterine bleeding range widely. Inquire with your doctor how frequently they carry out a specific procedure. Visiting a doctor who conducts the operation frequently results in a quicker recovery with fewer complications.
